On July 29, 2010 Dead by April played a show at the Piteå Dansar och Ler festival in Piteå. Other bands/artists that played at the festival were among others Kent, Lars Winnerbäck, Salem Al Fakir and the Sounds. 

Info

Almost exactly a year before this show Dead by April played the same festival, namely July 24, 2009. The public pressure was enormous during that and the Babylon scene got turned off to ensure safety. This year DBA was among the biggest act's booked and played their show by midnight, 00:00 on the big stage, so everybody could see the band. The band was announced to play the festival on March 16, 2010.

However, the show itself was not the highlight this year. It was the fact that Pontus Hjelm returned to the band, almost five months since his departure. The comeback wasn't made official and was in many ways undisclosed to cover up for Johan's departure. This marks Pontus first show with Dead by April solely as a guitarist.

Many people saw this show as a double-book as Dead by April played Kirunafestivalen only a few weeks earlier which lies very close to Piteå.

No official setlist exists from the concert, so therefore it is based on previous shows and what songs that was played. This setlist is the most likely.

Song analysis

In terms of material we only have one song, Unhateable, have found its way to the web. Beyond that we have snippets of four other songs, Trapped, Angels of Claity, Promise Me and Losing You. 

Unhateable

• Jimmie screamed the "free from..." part during both verse 1 and verse 2.
• Zandro actually sanf the last "don't leave me here" in chorus 1, unusual. 
• Jimmie screamed the wrong lyric in the beggining of verse 2. 
• During chorus 2 Jimmie screamed Zandros "What have you done to me" but didn't scream anything on the last line.

 

Trapped

• Jimmie screamed the ending of both pre-chorus 1 & 2.

• Zandro sang the high note in verse 2 and also sings the "it's all that I'm breathing for" line in chorus 2.

Notes

• Dead by Aprils second show at the Piteå Dansar och Ler Festival. First one played in 2009.
• Pontus Hjelm's first show back in Dead by April since departure.
